Dr. Thu Nguyen is a board-certified nephrologist with specialized training in both general and interventional nephrology. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin and earned her medical degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Mississippi. She went on to complete her internal medicine residency at the Gundersen Medical Foundation in Wisconsin.

Dr. Nguyen received her fellowship training in general and interventional nephrology at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, a leading transplant center. Her training emphasized the management of complex electrolyte disorders, hypertension, and kidney stone prevention. In addition, she gained extensive experience in post-kidney transplant care.

As part of her interventional nephrology training, Dr. Nguyen is proficient in procedures essential for maintaining dialysis access, including tunneled dialysis catheter placement and removal, dialysis access angiograms, angioplasty, thrombectomy, and peritoneal dialysis catheter placement.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending quality time with her family. She also loves the outdoors and can often be found hiking, biking, or kayaking in her free time.
